Returned wedding invitation poses dilemma for bride...

"I need your advice about a returned invitation. The post office said the stamp had been tampered with or wasn't enough postage, etc. They apparently put a sticker on top of the stamps and then they put a horizontal line through the address. This invitation was for one of the ladies who came to my bridal shower (and bought a really nice present might I add.)"

Dear Bride-to-Be,

Now Brides are getting very daring and unique with their weddings. The same boring elements are out and fun funky styles are in! But one aspect of your wedding should be carefully looked over and considered: Bridesmaid Dresses. It is great to be different and bring something new and trendy to your girls, but you also need to keep a couple things in mind.

*The Sizes of Your Girls: Keep in mind that not all of your bridesmaids are the same shapes and sizes. If you decide to go with the same style dress for each girl make sure it is something that is flattering on all sizes. And a great way to please everyone is to have each girl wear a different style, so each one is comfortable and looks great!

*Budget: Brides, take in to consideration your bridesmaids budgets. Some of your girls are still in school or just got out and might be on a tight budget so it is important for the Bride to shop around. You might offer to pay for the dresses or half as an early Bridesmaid gift.

*Styles: Please Please Please do not pick out a Bridesmaid dress that could have been showcased in "27 Dresses". Just because you may have different taste doesn't mean that it will look wonderful in the overall scheme of things. Make sure that you get your Mom's, Aunt's, wedding planner, etc options on the dresses. And remember that you will be returning the favor when your Bridesmaids get married :)
